Upper Murray Football Netball Seeks Community Feedback

Upper Murray Football Netball Seeks Community Feedback
Introduction
The Upper Murray Club Amalgamation Working Party was convened under a motion of the Upper Murray Football Netball League to develop a model and proposal for the formation of a new club which may seek entry to the Tallangatta DFL and which was presented to the UMFNL Clubs for further consideration on Monday August 24th, 2020.

As part of the Community engagement phase, feedback is sought from interested community members which shall be collated and presented to the UMFNL clubs and Communities to assist in their ultimate decision-making process.

The UM Football Netball Presentation has been made available to UMFNL Clubs, Tallangatta DFL Executive and Clubs, the Tallangatta District Netball Association, local media outlets and is available on www.aflneb.com.au

It is an important that those who may be directly or indirectly affected by the direction adopted for Football and Netball in the Upper Murray contribute to the feedback process. Those wishing to respond are requested to consider the UM Football Netball Presentation in its detail prior to completing the Feedback Forum.

To receive feedback, a structured forum has been created so that responses can be collated and reported on.

The UM Football Netball Feedback Forum takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and closes on Thursday September 3rd, 2020 at 5.00pm. To access the UM Football Netball Feedback Forum, please click HERE

Ben has been involved with the local Wangaratta Auskick centre for five years and the coordinator for four of those, the exciting announcement was announced at the allocation night for Auskickers graduating to the Wangaratta and District Junior Football League in front of local Auskickers, parents and local WDJFL Clubs. The prize for the award is a grand final weekend experience including three nights' accommodation in Melbourne, a ticket to the Welcome to Melbourne function, attendance at the grand final parade, and a reserve seat ticket to the 27 September grand final. Over his time, Ben has secured significant sponsorship for the program; has initiated the all-girls' group; provides a support network for smaller centres across Wangaratta and surrounding regions; contributes to community events like allocation night and puts in a heap of extra work with the allocation process; organises half-time Auskick games at local football league matches; and, of course, the countless hours spent organising jumpers, certificates, equipment and everything in between, year after year. Wangaratta is regularly one of the biggest centres in the state, if not the nation, and this year was the biggest in Victoria. That, as you can imagine, makes it almost a full-time commitment, year-round. A huge congratulations to Ben from everyone at AFLNEB!
